In the Pacific Northwest, timing your gutter cleaning with the seasons can help prevent clogs and protect your roof and drainage system year-round.
Seasonal Gutter Cleaning

Fall (Most Important Season):
If you have evergreen trees, October is an ideal time—right before the rainy season kicks in.
If you have deciduous trees that drop their leaves, it’s best to wait until late November or December, after most of the leaves have fallen.
Spring: A good time for a checkup, especially if you notice plants starting to grow out of your gutters or if you’ve had heavy winter storms. This helps keep water flowing freely through the rainy season. We can also apply moss treatment to prevent growth during the rainy season.
Summer: Ideal for general maintenance—especially if you’re concerned about fire risk, insects, or debris buildup during dry months.
If it’s been over a year since your last cleaning, it’s always wise to schedule a visit. A professional inspection can also help you spot early signs of wear or damage to your gutters and roof system before they turn into bigger issues.
We service Clackamas, Milwaukie, Happy Valley, Lake Oswego, Beaverton, Tigard and the full Portland Metro area with seasonal gutter cleaning. Reach out for a quick quote or advice on how to best time your roof and gutter maintenance.
